Count on each other.

I was trying to think of what I wanted to say when posting this family of seven’s gallery, and I reminisced to when I met them in the parking lot.   Mom and dad pulled over in the parking lot, trying to get picture-perfect outfits on each of their five kids all while struggling in the back of a mini van.  There was crying.  There was objections.  A couple of kids obliged, and I just kept thinking to myself, “How do they do this every day?”  As a parent of a young child, I know how difficult it can be at times with one kid, and I shudder to think about that multiplied by five!  However, both parents handled it with grace and composure and I admired them for their patience.

I know parenting is a gift, but it can be exhausting.  After trying to get all five to cooperate for a few pictures (which is difficult in most photo shoots with young kids) and add cold, rainy weather to the mix, I was the one smiling at the end.  We took a few of the kids and finished up with mom and dad in the pouring rain.  They smiled, they embraced, they ‘got each other’.. and I think in the end, it was their definition of a perfect day.
Congratulations on a busy, joyful life with a family of seven Jackie and Kevin.   I look at the pictures of ‘just the two of you’ and see that all of this was ‘so meant to be.’ That made me smile.

This is family.

It has been two years since I have seen I have photographed this  family the last time.  Two years brings new life – beautiful little girl Claire, plus two adorable puppies.  It was an honour to spend time with them on Thanksgiving day and is part of ‘our’ annual tradition.  It’s also a blessing for me, because they are all so kind.  Every single time,  they create beautiful pictures.

Oh my goodness, Stacey! Words cannot describe how much these photos mean to our family. You are so incredibly talented and such a beautiful person. You have given our family so many precious gems to hold onto forever. Thank you, thank you for photographing our family and for capturing such wonderful memories. We love having you on Thanksgiving, and again, are so grateful that you took time away from your own family to be with us. We can’t wait to see you next Thanksgiving!

Cute little family.

Family – where life begins and love never ends.
Meet this adorable family of four.  I was happy to create some lifetime family memories for them encapsulating the beauty of autumn.  The kids were so good during the shoot.
Enjoy the sneak peek.  There are more for mom’s gallery, but thought I’d leave a few as a surprise when she gets the CD.

Stuck on you.

Robyn and Bryan are the coolest couple I know.   Down to earth, hip, fun, creative, dog lovers – and both amazing  talented chefs!   They are tying the knot next year and I was honoured to do their engagement shoot.  I feel very blessed that I seem to attract creative photography clients that deliver JOY to me, as part of the photo shoot!  Such a beautiful time of year to photograph love!

My man is soooo handsome! And those puppies are pretty cute too! Thanks Stacey, looove the pics!

Love of family.

The biggest compliment is repeat clients.  It means that you connected.  Randi and I have been connected for awhile.  Originally our paths crossed in Thunder Bay and now both of us are in the GTA (if you consider Orangeville GTA – that depends on who you ask).  It was so lovely to see her beautiful children again.  They have all grown so much since the last time I saw them and I was delighted and honoured to update her family album.

Take a look at what love looks like.  <3.
